Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce a size and enhance performance, by providing an exhaust hole and a suction hole in a casing, which supports the stationary core of an electric blower, so that the exhaust hole serves for air passed through a main electric motor and the suction hole serves for the blower and by installing a controller for the electric blower and providing an air hole in the fan of the blower. CONSTITUTION:Cooling air introduced through the suction hole of a casing 11 cools a commutator 10, an armature winding 8, a field winding 5, etc. and is discharged through the exhaust hole 24 of a casing 13 by a fan 16. Since the gap beta between the casing 13 and the fan 16 is small, the air from the suction hole 25 does not directly flow into the discharged air. The cooling air from the suction hole 25 passes through the air hole 26 of the fan 16 and cools a controller 23, a stator winding 22, an iron ring 18, etc. According to this constitution, the rotary electric machine can be made compact and its performance can be enhanced.
