CONSTITUTION:An intermediate frequency signal obtained by video intermediate frequency circuit 5 is AFT-detected by AFT detecting circuit 16, whose detection output is applied to reference frequency oscillating circuit 14. A reference frequency at which this oscillating circuit 14 oscillates is finely adjusted on the basis of the AFT detection output. In this case, the reference frequency of oscillating circuit 14 is varied according to the AFT detection output to vary the reference frequency applied to phase comparing circuit 13, and consequently the PLL synthesizer loop is brought under external control, so that the value of a local oscillation frequency at which local oscillating circuit 4 oscillates will not be stepped, but be continuous. Thus, the residual frequency in the loop can be made zero at any time, so that the PLL frequency synthesizer receiver will provide more accurate reception.
