Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent boiling fluid from standing, prevent contaminants from depositing from the boiling fluid and improve heat transfer performance, by causing fins of the heat exchanger to be in linear contact with each other, the heat exchanger comprising layered heat transfer plates each having the fins and forming a boiling fluid passage therebetween.
CONSTITUTION: The adjacent heat transfer plates 4 have banks of lower fins 3 and banks of higher fins 11, 12 alternatively without any space between the fins 11 and 12. The fin 11 has a curved tip, while the shape of the fin 12 is recutangular in cross section, so that the fins 11 and 12 is in linear contact longitudinally to eliminate any space therebetween. In this arrangement, the fins 3, 11, 12 in a boiling fluid passage 13 constitute no space where boiling fluids can stands, so that contaminants contained in it can be prevented from depositing and the heat transfer performance can be improved.
