Abstract

PURPOSE: The proportion of each coal fraction in a coal mixture for coke production is adjusted in such a way that the synthetic curve of temperature versus fluidity in each coal fraction exceeds a certain value in the maximum fluidity, thereby the strength of coke formed is controlled steadily.
CONSTITUTION: In the preparation of a coal mixture from 2 or more kinds of coal for coke production, temperature-fluidity curves for each coal alone are synthesized depending upon the proportion of coal to give the maximum fluidity of the coal composition and the proportion is adjusted so that the maximum fluidity exceeds 1.6.
