Abstract

PURPOSE: Glycerol is mixed with xanthane gum and propylene glycol to improve the fluidity and rotting properties, thus improving the pysical properties of glycerol food products.
CONSTITUTION: Xanthane gum is dissolved or dispersed in glycerol and propylene glycol is added to the mixture. Or xanthane gum is added to a homogeneous mixture of glycerol and propylene glycol. The glycerol homogeneous mixture is a food product itself and used as an additive to other food products, too.
