Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent temperature drop of molten metal without enclosedly pressing the molten metal and improve the degree of its penetration into the cavity by lowering a plunger tip and a counter tip at the same speed.
CONSTITUTION: When molten metal 37 is poured through a pouring port 13 into a sleeve 11, the molten metal 37 is temporarily stored on a counter tip 15. Next, an electromagnetic change over valve 25 is changed over to the mode (a) by the signal to a control unit 26 and a pump 24 is started. A piston 20 descends and a plunger 14 descends until it goes down to the position reaching the top surface of the molten metal, then the signal from a limit switch 33 changes over an electromagnetic change over valve 32 to the mode (b) and causes a pump 31 to run, thereby causing the piston 27 and counter tip 15 to descend.
