Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to supply electric power even if the subscriber's line is constituted with an optical fiber, by supplying electric power as the photosignal from the exchange side. CONSTITUTION:In exchange 1, the photosignal of wave length lambda1 from light emitting element 11 for power supply is applied to photocoupler 13 corresponding to each optical fiber 2 by light distributor 12, and the call signal is converted to a photosignal of wave length lambda2(lambda2not equal to lambda1) by light emitting element 14 for signal and is applied to photocoupler 13, and these photosignals are transmitted to telephone set 3 through the optical fiber. In telephone set 3, the photosignal of wave length lambda1 is separated by branching filter 31 and is applied to photoelectric conversion power source part 32, and the photosignal is converted to electric power, and this electric power is supplied to telephone set circuit 33, and the photosignal of wave length lambda2 is separated by branching filter 31 and is applied to telephone set circuit 33, and the photosignal is converted to an electric signal by the photoelectric conversion part in the telephone set circuit and is supplied to the receiver.
