Abstract

PURPOSE: To maintain a level of water in an air tank at a set position, by detecting a water level and a pressure in a water hammer preventive air tank as signals, calculating them into command signals, and controlling air supply to the air tank using thus obtained command signals.
CONSTITUTION: A water level 4 in a water hammer preventive air tank is set to a prescribed position, and when the water level 4 becomes high, a command signal is sent from an arithmatic and logic unit 12 to an air supply unit 17 through an output wiring 16, and compressed air is supplied through a conduit 24, the air supply unit 17 and a supply pipe 20 to top side of the air tank 1 to lower the water level. When the level 4 became lower, a command signal is sent from the arithmatic and logic unit 12 to an air discharge 19, so that the air is discharged from the air tank 1 from a discharging gate 22 to raise the water level. Thereby, it is possible to maintain the water level in the air tank at a constant value.
