Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare a molding resin composition having excellent impact strehgth, heat resistance, etc., by compounding a copolymer of an aromatic vinyl monomer and a methacrylic acid ester, a polycarbonate, and a multi-stage copolymer of an acrylic acid ester and a methacrylic acid ester.
CONSTITUTION: The objective resin composition is prepared by kneading under melt, (A) 100pts.wt. of a resin mixture consisting of (a) 95W5pts.wt. of a copolymer composed of pref. 10W50wt% of an aromatic vinyl monomer (e.g. styrene) and remaining part of a methacrylic acid ester monomer (e.g. methyl methacrylate) and (b) 5W95pts.wt. of a 4,4'-dihydroxydiphenylalkane polycarbonate, and (B) 1W20, pref. 5W15pts.wt. of a copolymer obtained by the multistage polymerization wherein monomers composed mainly of an acrylic acid ester (e.g. ethyl acrylate) are polymerized in the first polymerization stage, and monomers composed mainly of a methacrylic acid ester are added to the first polymerization stage product and polymerized in the second and the following polymerization stages. The content of the methacrylic acid ester monomer in the (B) component is 20W70wt%.
