Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare the title polymer giving excellent weatherability and impact strength to a vinyl chloride resin by blending, by the stepwise graft polymerization of (meth)acrylic acid ester and a monomer such as styrene to a specific backbone elastomer.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 50W80 Parts by weight of a backbone elastomer obtained by the copolymerization of (a) 50W99.95wt% of an alkyl acrylate having a 2W12C alkyl group, (b) 0W49.55% of butadiene, and (c) 0.05W5wt% of a polyfunctional crosslinking agent, is grafted with (B) 5W45 parts of a mixture comprising 50W 90wt% of methyl methacrylate and 10W50wt% of styrene, and then further grafting with (C) 5W35 parts of a mixture comprising 25W90wt% of methyl methacrylate and 10W75wt% of (meth)acrylate, provided that the copolymer deriued from the mixture has a grass-transition point of 0W90°C.
