Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the braking efficiency of the master cylinder of a vehicle by providing a valve and the valve seat having a passage that holds a given pressure when a pressure is applied, and a valve mechanism located below the valve seat and comprising a float that vertically moves, in order to smoothly supply fluid to the pressure chamber.
CONSTITUTION: When the first pressure-chamber 7 shows a negative-pressure tendency, a valve opening 17b of a valve seat 17 in a valve mechanism is choked with a valve body 21, and the fluid in a reservoir 16 flows down through a hole 17a. Consequently, a float 20 moves downward, and the fluid flows into the first pressure-chamber 7. On the other hand, when the second pressure-chamber 8 shows a negative-pressure tendency, the fluid in the first pressure-chamber 7 flows into the second pressure-chamber 8 through the periphery of a piston cup 6. Since the valve seat 17 having the hole 17a that permits the fluid to flow almost freely, and the float 20 that moves vertically, together with the passage and the valve mechanism are provided between the reservoir 16 and the first pressure-chamber 7, the fluid can be smoothly supplied, so that the braking efficiency is improved.
