Abstract

CONSTITUTION:An active material 2' of a lower density is put on the upper part of a plate filled with as active material 2 of high density all over the surface of a grid body 1, i.e., at a part adjacent an ear part 3 of the plate. Thus, the porosity of the active material is increased at the part. Owing to this structure, it is possible to improve both the discharge performance and life characteristic.
