Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the cause of deterioration in separation by forming a matrix in the stage of right and left audio signals and by setting the frequency shift of a wave to be inputted to one terminal of a superposing device and modulated corresponding to audio signals, which are a half as great as the stereophonic right and left signals, in the next state of superposition. CONSTITUTION:An input terminal 1 for a left signal L is connected to the 1st audio frequency modulating oscillator U1a whose modulation sensitivity is set a half, and an input terminal 2 for the other right signal R to the 2nd audio frequency modulating oscillator U2b. The oscillation frequency of this oscillator U1a is equalized to the 1st audio carrier frequency F1, and its modulation sensitivity is compared with that of the oscillator U2b and set a half; when stereophonic right and left signals have the same input level, the frequency shift decreases to half. Further, the oscillation frequency of the oscillator U2b is set to the 2nd audio carrier frequency F2 and while the output of the oscillator U1a is applied direct to a frequency mixer MIX, the output of the oscillator U1b is applied to the mixer MIX via a frequency divider U3a whose frequency division ratio is to half. Then, the output of the mixer MIX and that of the oscillator U2b are applied to a superposing device 4.
