Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the cycle slip, by providing an auxiliary circuit having a band pass filter of narrow band and by comparing the output phase of the auxiliary circuit and that of a main circuit with each other to shift the output phase of the main circuit. CONSTITUTION:An M multiplier 2, a band pass filter 3, and an M frequency divider 4 constitute a main circuit of the carrier wave reproducing circuit, and the M-phase PSK signal applied to an input terminal 1 is multiplied by M to become a nonmodulation signal of the M-fold frequency and has the noise reduced by the filter 3 and is divided by M, thereby obtaining a nonmodulation carrier wave. Meanwhile, an auxiliary circuit is provided which consists of a band pass filter 7 having a band narrower than that of the band pass filter 3 and an M frequency divider 8, and output phases of auxiliary and main circuits are compared with each other; and if a difference occurs between both output phases, the cycle slip in the main circuit is discriminated to match the output phase of the M frequency divider 4 to a correct phase by a variable phase shifter 6.
