Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable power conversion with SSB efficiently, by driving 4 switching amplifiers and synthesizing the phase of each phase modulator in two phases from the output by the polarity which is cancelled at nonsignal.
CONSTITUTION: The audio input signal is fed to an amplitude limit amplifier 32 via the input terminal 31, and the output makes balanced modulation by taking the oscillation frequency f1 of the crystal oscillator 33 as carrier in the balanced modulator 34. The output is fed to a 90° phase shift distributor 36 via the side band filter 35 to produce two-phase modulation signal having the phase difference in 90°. On the other hand, from the synthesizer 42, two-phase local oscillation frequency having the phase difference of 90° is produced, and the local oscillation frequency is fed to the phase modulators 371, 372 to produce two sets of two-phase shift outputs. Further, 4 switching amplifiers 381∼384 are respectively driven with the output, and they are synthesized with the polarity that the phase of the two phase phase modulators 391, 392 is cancelled at nonsignal, and power conversion is made with SSB efficiently via BPF40.
