Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a stable information on a flow rate without acoustic interference and the like between ultrasonic wave propagation channels by providing a control part switching sequentially the output of ultrasonic-wave transmitter-receivers provided in plural and opposedly in a pipe line and thereby making the device hard to be influenced by the distribution of a flow speed. CONSTITUTION:The output of two sets of the transmitter-receiver couples a1, a2 and b1, b2 in the pipe line 1 is switched over and is inputted to the terminals 3 and 4 of a conversion circuit 2 for a single beam through the intermediary of an adaptor 6 whose relay contacts S1 and S2 are controlled by the control part 7. The adaptor 6 switches over the relay contacts S1 and S2 periodically by means of a relay coil 12 excited by the output of timers 10 and 11 acting alternately and sends signals obtained from the transmitter-receivers a1, a2 and b1, b2 to the conversion circuit 2 for the single beam. Therefore, the information on the flow rate corresponding to the switching time of the relay contacts can be obtained alternately from the transmitter-receiver couples a1, a2 and b1, b2.
