Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a scanning optical path change-over means and solve problems such as the power loss, aberration and other of the laser beam during recording by providing a transparent parallel face plate having the thickness equal to the supporting body of an information carrying body and the same refractive index, between an information recording part and a scanning optical system. CONSTITUTION:In the case of making recording, a laser beam 2 is intensified and modulated by a light modulator 3, is expanded of the beam diameter by a collimating lens 5, and is converted to a laser beam 6, which is then reflected by a rotary polyhedral mirror 7 running at a high speed, and is condensed onto the photosensitive drum 11 of the recording part, whereby it is linearly scanned. A scanning laser beam 12 is changed over to a recording scanning laser beam 14 and a reading scanning laser beam 15 by the vertical movement of a total reflection mirror 13. Since the thickness and refractive index of a transparent parallel flat face plate 19 are selected equal to the thickness and refractive index of an original supporting body 16, the spherical aberrations accompanied by the change in the incident angle of a transparent original supporting body 16 are made equal in the recording part and the reading part.
