Abstract

PURPOSE:To integrally form the first face, the reflecting face and the second face of an optical element by an optically uniform material, to improve the accuracy of a position setting and to attain a compact and light device by setting the optical element of an optical pickup device to the arrangement of an information recording carrier, a light flux separating means, a light source and a photodetector. CONSTITUTION:A light flux outgoing from a semiconductor laser 17 is made a parallel light by a collimator lens 18, passed through a beam splitter 19 and made incident on an objective lens 20 constituted of an aspherical surface. The light flux made incident from the first face 20a of the lens 20 is converged and reflected by the reflecting face 20b of an internal face, emitted from the second face 20c of the sprung lens 20 to form a light spot on an information recording face 23 on a disk 22. Further, the light flux outgoing on the recording face 23 is reflected by the splitter 19 through the lens 20, converged by a sensor lens 24, a cylindrical lens 25 to made incident to a photodetector 26 and to attain the compact and light device.
