Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a high dielectric strength by employing a material having a Kraft paper laminated on both surfaces of a plastic film with a low dielectric constant for an insulating coat of a conductor. CONSTITUTION:When a synthetic paper is used for an electric induction appliance, a lower dielectric constant will improve the dielectric strength of an appliance. In this sense, it is true that the use of a film alone can reduce the dielectric constant but lower mechanical strength of the film may lower the workability. Due to lack of breathing, a sufficient vacuum suction of air is impossible from an internal space if the film is wound in multilayers hampering the filling of the space with oil in lubrication. Therefore, if a conductor is used for an insulating coat employing a laminate paper comprising a plastic film with a dielectric constant below 2, 7 and a kraft paper, it provides a compact and inexpensive winding of the electrical appliance which enables it to withstand a high voltage.
