Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the titled glass contg. Y2O3, La2O3, TiO2 and ZrO2 in a specified composition, having superior alkali resistance and high elasticity, and useful as a material for making concrete composite.
CONSTITUTION: This alkali-proof aluminosilicate glass has a composition consisting of, by mol, 30W60% SiO2, 0W15% TiO2 (45W60% SiO2+TiO2), 20W35% Al2O3, 15W30% Y2O3+La2O3 and 2W8% ZrO2. This glass has improved alkali resistance and a high elastic modulus, and it is suitable for use as a material for making concrete composite.
