Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a response signal of high-duty ratio as high compression gain against a barker code-used system for a radar, etc. by forming a synthesized signal with a barker code deviated by a prearranged bit. CONSTITUTION:If a 5-bit barker code 100 is processed by mans of a delay circuit 121 to 124, a positive polarity converter 131, 133 to 135, a negative polarity converter 132, etc., the code 100 is compressed by means of a synthesizer 140 to an amplitude five times as much as the original code. In addition, if this compressed code is synthesized deviated by two bits, the duty ratio of an output wave form is high such as 50%, etc. Consequently, in an enermy and friend response system using a barker code under a two-dimensional radar, etc., the number of barker code bits of a target radar is analyzed, generating a barker code from a carrier generation circuit 200 in accordance with said bit number. Then the bit number in accordance with a barker code bit number is controlled at a modulator 201 by means of a modulation control circuit 202. As a result, it is possible to transmit to a target radar a response signal at high compression ratio and high duty ratio.
