Abstract

PURPOSE:To make possible to simulate radar echoes by generating signals fluctuating with time, frequency-dividing these signals, amplitude-modulating the divided signals and then synthesizing them. CONSTITUTION:A clatter generator 1 generates a series of clatter signals synchronizing signals from a synchronous signal generator 3 which generates synchronous signals with a period equal to the pulse repeating period of the radar and a target signal generator 2 generates pulse signals with correspond to a fixed target or a moving target synchronizing the synchronous signals. These signals are synthesized in a signal synthesizer 4 and radar echoes are output to an output terminal 5. The clatter generator 1 is composed of a means which generates signals fluctuating with time, a means which frequency-divides these signals, a means which amplitude-modulates the divided signals independently and a means which synthesizes the amplitude- modulated signals.
