PURPOSE:To prevent a scattering of toner in the copying machine due to such as oscillation to make dirt the inside, by providing a shutter and its switch which can open or shut the toner discharge exit. CONSTITUTION:The toner supply device 10 has the toner hopper 12. The toner carrying roller 12, toner carrying roller 13, toner scraping member 14 to scrape out the toner 16 attached on the surface of the roller 13 are equipped in the said hopper 12. Further, at the bottom of the development case 1, the shutter 15 is provided with the fulcrum 16 in turnable shape, and it is turned with the twist spring 22 inserted at the circumference of the fulcrum 23 to constitute the shutter switching mechanism closing the toner discharge 11. Thus, the supply of toner 6 from the device 10 to the device 8 is interrupted, and no drop of toner and scattering is present even with the development device separated, and the inside of the copying machine is not made dirty.
