Abstract

PURPOSE: To control the extended velocity of a grinding wheel by converting the cutting resistance of the griding wheel of a honing machine into electrical signals and controlling the velocity of revolution of a drive source which extends the grinding wheel in accordance with the signals.
CONSTITUTION: A feed rod 13 which is prevented from revolving by a guide pin 15 which is fit in the guide groove 16 of the side surface is screwed in the external thread at the center of a body of revolution 9 which is driven by a pulse motor 2 and a grinding wheel extended rod 23 and the same cone 26 are mounted at the lower end of the feed rod 13 through a piezoelectric conversion element 25.
