Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A two-phase stainless case steel used as a material for a pump, an impeller, a casing, a marine propeller, a propeller shaft, etc. used in seawater is adjusted to a composition having Cr and Ni contents represented by equation y=0.86 x -16o (where y is Ni% and x is Cr%). This austenitic-ferritic two- phase stainless cast steel has high strength, high stress corrosion crack resistance and superior corrosion resistance to seawater.
