Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve temperature characteristics of garnet epitaxial film containing Lu<3+> for magnetic bubble element by using samarium, galium and garnet, instead of gadolium, galium and garnet as a substrate. CONSTITUTION:Liquid phase epitaxial growth of a ganet film (the composition shown in Table) is made at 910-950 deg.C on a substrate of samarium, galium and garnet having 111 face, using a molten liquid (as an example, the composition is shown in Table), and a magnetic bubble substance having characteristic length l of approximately 0.1mum and radius of 0.8mum is obtained. The Curie temperature of the substance is in range of 187-195 deg.C, and the temperature coefficient of bubble magnetic region demagnetization was in range of -0.20-0.25%/deg.
