Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an installation process for foundation piles whereby the driving of the piles can be facilitated by reducing the friction between the piles and the soil during driving step and the reduction of the friction can be prevented after the driving step.
CONSTITUTION: A hollow pile main body 1 is formed at its tip end with a friction cutter portion 2 larger in diameter than the main body 1, and fitted along the peripheral surface with a pipe 3 by bands 4. The pipe 3 is provided at its tip end with a pipe ring 5 which surrounds the main body 1 at a position directly above the portion 2, and the ring 5 is formed with many spout holes 6. While the pile is driven into the ground, air, water, or a slow-curable grout material is fed through the pipe 3 and the ring 5 and spouted from the holes 6 so as to completely cut the friction between the peripheral surface of the main body 1 and the soil. After the driving, the grout material fills up the gap between the pile and the soil so as to prevent the reduction in the friction between them.
