Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of coagulation by stabilization of paint by the procedure in which a neutralizer and a solvent for paint are supplied to a dipping and washing water in the post treatment of electrodeposition coating to keep its H+ ion concentration in a fixed range.
CONSTITUTION: The conductivity of diaphragm water in the storage tank 15 is regulated to a predetermined range according to coating conditions by circulating the diaphragm water in the diaphragm chamber 3 through the diaphragm water storage tank 15 in order to stabilize the conductivity of the diaphragm water to be supplied to the chamber 3. Also, the diaphragm water containing paint neutralizer brought from the electrodeposition tank 1 is supplied to the dipping washing water tank 10 to keep the H+ ion concentration of the dipping washing water in such a range that the paint in the dipping washing water is not coagulated, or in the pH range of 6W6.5. Then the dipping washig water is supplied to the overflow tank 7 by opening the electromagnetic valve 29 according to the detective operation of the liquid level sensor 30, and then recycled to the tank 1. Thus, the paint present in the dipping washing water can be recovered and also the liquid levels of the tanks 7 and 1 can be kept constant by supplying the dipping washing water by liquid level sensor.
