Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to save preliminary treatment process of blast furnace filling material by a method wherein a blast furnace material powder such as powdered iron ore, powdered limestone on the like before a sintering process and powdered coal or the like before coking are filled within a splittable iron capsule having many air passing pores and directly supplied to a blast furnace. CONSTITUTION:A blast furnace material powder (particle size below 3mm) such as powdered iron ore, powdered limestone or the like and a blast furnace fuel powder (below 3mm) such as powdered coal or the like are filled within a half-split type iron capsul 1 comprising a hemispherical shell provided with many air passing pores 2 of which a diameter is about 1mm and, thereafter, this iron capsule 1 is supplied directly to a blast furnace as a blast furnace material or a fuel. Moreover, a thickness of an iron capsule is about 0.1mm and a diameter thereof is preferably 50-80mm. As material quality, a cold rolling steel plate is used. By this method, dry distillation can be carried out within a furnace and a blast furnace can be utilized at maximum efficiency without injuring air permeablity within a blast furnace.
