Abstract

PURPOSE: To raise the practical valuableness of anisotropic magnet by improving its magnetic characteristics by the procedure in which an anisotropic Mn-Al-C alloy magnet is pulverized and then formed into a desired shape so as to form a magnetic field.
CONSTITUTION: An anisotropic Mn-Al-C alloy magnet, manufactured by an extrusion method, etc., is pulverized into fine powders, and then the powder are formed into a desired shape by binding them with a resin, etc., so as to obtain a magnetic field. The magnet obtained by this method, although having slightly lower magnetic characteristics such as residual flux density, coercive force, maximum energy product, etc., than those of the alloy anisotropic magnets, has higher characteristics than that of ferrite magnet and thus can be sufficiently put into practical use.
