Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable the quality of purified water to be improved by making an optimum decision on the washing period of a filtering basin by a method wherein turbidity of filtered water is detected, the value obtained is compared with a previously set value of the turbidity and various valves are operated and controlled by a sequence control.
CONSTITUTION: Sampling of filtered water is conducted as next. A turbidity signal of the filtered water is obtained by a turbidity meter 21. The signal is compared with a previously set value 22 of turbidity by means of a comparator 23. When the turbidity signal exceeds the previously set value, a filtering basin-washing demand signal is given to a filtering basin-washing sequence controlling device 24, and an inflow valve 2, an outflow valve 4, a washing discharge valve 6, a surface washing valve 7, a reverse washing valve 8 and a water-discharge valve 12 are controlled, thereby the washing of the filtering basin is carried out. Optimum filtering basin-washing control can be carried out taking both of filtration head loss and filtration flow-out turbidity into consideration by adding a judgement circuit 25 judging logic product of a timer time up signal, a head loss detector output signal and the filtering basin-washing demand signal.
