Abstract

PURPOSE:To miniaturize a unit by reducing a coupling part in height, by forming a Y-branch center conductor with a coupled ferrimagnetic material while the tip of the conductor is projected into a waveguide formed together with an external conductor by extending. CONSTITUTION:The coupling part of Y-branch center conductor 6 is sandwiched between two ferrimagnetic materials 5 and their tips are projecting to input and output terminals of a waveguide connected in a ''T'' shape. Then, magnet 8 provides a DC magnetic field externally so as to transmit signals, arriving at terminals 1 and 2, to terminals 2 and 3 respectively. As a result, applying strip-line structure to a part serving as a circulator in this way reduce the size of ferrimagnetic material 5 to lower the coupling part in height, and the direction of the waveguide can freely be set, so that the unit can be miniaturized on the whole.
