Abstract

PURPOSE:To suppress the unnecessary circular TM mode resonance due to the disturbance of electromagnetic field at coupling section, by projecting coupling screws toward a direction in parallel with the electric field from an H plane at both sides of a rectangular waveguide. CONSTITUTION:Coupling adjusting screws 10, 20 and 12, 21 projected toward the direction of the electric field of a rectangular waveguide are provided at an H plane at both sides of input and output rectangular waveguides 8 and 9 around coupling holes 5 and 7 between the cavity of TEomn mode resonators 1 and 2 and input and output rectangular waveguides 8 and 9. With this constitution, the phase of TM mode generated near the coupling adjusting screws 19, 20 or 12, 21 at both sides is opposite with each other, the unnecessary resonance of the TM mode can be suppressed at a whole by controlling the insertion length of the coupling adjusting screws 10, 20 (or 12, 21) at both sides with a good balance.
