PURPOSE:To prevent an ignition timing lag resulting from an increase in rotational frequency for pickup coil SG whose output voltage slowly builds up, by varying the level by which an output transistor is turned on and off due to the output of pickup coil SG. CONSTITUTION:The potential of SG's terminal 1 is conducted to a base of transistor Q7 on the Schmit circuit (including Q7, Q6) through the intermediary of resistance R10, and further controls control transistor Q3 via Q6, Q5 and Q4. That is, if the output voltage of SG was increased in a normal direction and a potential of the terminal 1 reached a sufficient level for turning on Q7, Q3 is cut off, resulting in the turn-on of output transistors Q2, Q1. In the meantime, if the output of SG is reduced from a positive peak value, Q7 is cut off and Q3 is driven until it reaches a saturation state, while Q2 and Q1 are rapidly cut off.
