Abstract

PURPOSE: A no-pollution heat engine devised to conduct heated water by solar heat to a low-pressure turbine for obtaining output between the heated water and seawater.
CONSTITUTION: When water is introduced into an evacuated condenser, since steam pressure is varied according to the water temperature, pressures can be given differently. When an engine is operated between temperatures of 70 and 30 degrees C. for example, it gives the same result as it is operated between pressures P1=242 mmHg and P2=31.8mmHg. A heat engine is constructed upon this principle. For example, in a turbine system to obtain the output of 10,000 KW, the roof is constructed into a solar heat collecting tank structure severally divided and evacuated inside. Each tank is connected through a pipe to a low pressure turbine 1, which drives a vacuum pump 2 for keeping a condenser 4 in a fixed vacuum. A water supply pump 3 is connected to the vacuum pump 2 through a clutch.
