Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily produce Al clad steel plates excelling in elongation and workability, by heating and melting the Al of molten Al plated steel plate of core material, and simultaneously pressure-welding and rolling by overlapping the Al plate of coating material, and then annealing. CONSTITUTION:The core material of steel plate 2 coated with molten Al on both sides, and Al or Al alloy plate material or foils 1, 3 as the coating material are pretreated in a degreasing tank 4 and a drying device 5, and the three pieces are joined together by a pinch roller 7 to obtain an integral body. This integral plate is put in a high frequency heating apparatus 8 to be heated to 590-700 deg.C by induction, and the Al plating material is fused on the surface of the core material 2. In this state, the material is put in a pressure roll 9 which is heated to 100-550 deg.C, and rolled at a low draft of 0.5-20% or less of the total thickness of the core material and coating material, and taken up on a take-up reel 10. Finally, the material is heated to 290-420 deg.C in a heating furnace 11 to soften and anneal the Al clad steel plate 13 is produced by adjusting the pressure, if necessary, with a skin pass mill 12. As the core material 2, one side plated steel plate may be used, and one piece of Al plate coating material may be used.
