Abstract

PURPOSE: To hold a secondary output voltage nearly constant even if the primary input voltage of a power transformer would vary by connecting a double voltage rectifier circuit and bridge rectifier circuit, connected selectively, to a switch for automatic switching.
CONSTITUTION: In accordance with the value of a voltage applied between input terminals 1 and 2 of power transformer 4, relay 27 is operated to change-over switch 14 connected to the secondary side of coupled transformer 9. Further, bridge rectifier 15 is connected between terminals 1 and 2, smoothing circuit 16 is provided on the output side of rectifier 15, and capacitors 18 and 19 for double voltage rectification are connected between rectifier 15 and smoothing circuit 16. Between the contact of switch 14 and the connection point of capacitors 18 and 19, triacs 12 and 13 are connected so as to alternate between the output voltage of rectifier 15 and its double voltage through the working of switch 14 according to a supply voltage between terminal 1 and 2, and fine variation in input voltage is compensated by voltage compensator circuit 17 connected to circuit 16, thereby outputting a nearly- constant voltage.
