Abstract

PURPOSE: To adjust the light quantity distribution of the luminous flux arriving at a photoreceptor according to the wavelength sensitivity characteristics of the photoreceptor by forming two or more reflecting surfaces by different dielectric layers and making use of the synergistic effect of spectral reflectance characteristics.
CONSTITUTION: Dielectric layers of 1/4 the reference wavelength λ which becomes nearly the center of a wavelength region required to decrease reflectance are laminated on a metal reflecting layer of aluminum or the like. The portion of the laminated films in contact with the metal layer is formed by MgF2, SiO2, etc. of low refractive indices and the outermost layer is formed by CeO2, ZrO2, TiO2, etc. of high refractive indices, thus becoming the reflecting mirror containing two or more reflecting faces by the different dielectric layers. The use of such reflecting mirror enables the spectral light quantity distribution of the luminous flux arriving at the photoreceptor to be adjusted as desired by the synergistic effect of the spectral reflectances of the two or more different reflecting faces.
