Abstract

PURPOSE:To carry out a good blast furnace operation, by charging raw material and coke having minimum grain diameter near furnace wall side and deterring gas stream near furnace wall side keeping the layer thickness nearly constant on the whole, at the time of charging the raw material containing iron and coke prepared classifying by grain size preliminary, it the blast furnace separately. CONSTITUTION:Raw material containing iron and coke are prepared according to each grain size classifying in the coarse grain raw material 2A and fine grain raw material 2B and also, the coarse grain coke 3A and fine grain coke 3B. Next, the coke 3B is charged near side of the furnace wall 1 after charging the coke 3A at the part excepting near side of the wall 1. In the same way, the material 2B is charged near side of the wall 1 after charging the material 2A at the part excepting near side of the wall 1. The above charge is repeated so as to be each layer thickness of the raw material and coke from the central part of the furnace wall nearly constant. As a result of it, distribution of gas flow is carried out sufficiently by making the grain size of raw material layer in the furnace uniform and improvement of gas utilization efficiency and decreasing of fuel consumption, are able to attain.
