Abstract

PURPOSE:To execute the optimum operation in order to stabilize the furnace condition, by classifying the feed stocks for the blast furnace according to specified respective particle sizes, by selectively setting the charging rate for respective particle sizes, and by charging the feed stocks uniformly to the sectional area or locally selectively into the circumferential zone of the furnace. CONSTITUTION:The feed stocks for the blast furnace are held in the stock bankers after being classified according to the specified respective particle sizes. For instance, the coarse coke C1, the medium sized coke C2, the fine sized coke C3, the coarse ore O1, the medium sized ore O2, and the fine sized ore O3, are held in the separate bankers 1 respectively. Depending on the specified operational instruction, the specified amount of feed stock of the specified class is taken away through the delivery feeder 2, and is sent to the hopper of the furnace top through the conveyer 3, and the hopper 4, and is charged into the specified position in the furnace by the movable arm or the swivel chute, etc. Correspondingly to the intended purpose for stabilizing the furnace condition, for instance when the improvement of the rate of reduction of the ore is intended, the coarse or the medium sized feed stocks are charged uniformly over the sectional area of the furnace, and also the medium sized or fine sized ones are charged nearby the furnace wall. According to this method, the flattening of distribution of the gas flow is achieved, and the rate of reduction of the ore is improved.
