Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a printing head for wire printers which allows the wire to perform a high speed printing, composed of a permanent magnet fixed on the armature oscillable in the direction the print wire moves and an electromagnet as opposed to the permanent magnet. CONSTITUTION:One end of a guide rod 11 and one end of a electromagnet 4 are fixed on a vertical section 3b of a L-shaped yoke 3a in sequence starting from the upper side of the vertical surface 3d facing the yoke horizontal section 3c while a pivotal hole 3e is provided near the tip of the horizontal section 3c to guide a fine oscillatory motion of the armature 12. A guide hole 17 is provided above the armature 12 in such a manner as to be slidable fitted into the small diameter 11a of the guide rod 11 and below the hole 17, fixed is an assembly of a magnetic substance facing the core 5 of the electromagnet 4 and a permanent magnet 7a. A wire 1 is planted slightly above the guide hole 17 on the surface of the armature back to back with the vertical section 3b and one end of a coil sring 19 is brought in contact with a stepped section 1c formed on the boundry of the small diameter 11a and the large diameter section 11b of the guide rod 11. The elastic force of the spring 19 charges the armature 12 clockwise.
