Abstract

PURPOSE: To form the electrophotographic photoreceptor having sensitivity to a wide wavelength region by forming the specific two kinds of charge generating layer and charge migrating layer on a conductive substrate.
CONSTITUTION: The first charge generating layer (sensitive to light of about 400W 540μ) of about 0.1W2μ in thickness containing CdS, the second charge generating layer sensitive to wavelengths longer than about 540μ) of about 0.1W2μ in thickness containing thiapyrilium salt-polycarbonate eutectic complex, phthalocyanine, etc. and the charge migration layer of about 10W20μ in thickness contained with electron donating materials such as polyvinyl carbazole, polyvinyl anthracene, etc. as charge migrating materials are subsequently formed to provide the photoreceptor.
