Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a small and compact layer-piling structure, without causing loss to cooling effect, by arranging a light guide in parallel with surfaces of photo SCR and a cooling fin.
CONSTITUTION: A stack is composed by alternate piling of a photo SCR 1 and a cooling fin 2 in series and pressing them entirely with a stud for joining them together. A connecting section 8 is provided on a part of insulators 7 of all the SCRs, a light guide 3 is arranged and connected in parallel with contact surfaces of the SCR 1 and the fin 2. Further, these are tightened through a ball 10 and a plate 11 to prevent eccentricity of the SCRs and electrified by a main circuit conductor 12. By using this structure, many SCRs become able to be piled in a layer reducing number of stacks of adevice as a whole. Further, as this structure eliminates necessity of the light guide connecting hole on the cooling fin, cooling effect is improved and the fin becomes able to be reduced in size.
