Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform separation/dropping function reliably even when fluorescent powder is mixed to the rotary section, by separating predetermined amount of mercury through external forceful power then dropping on the rear gas injection path.
CONSTITUTION: At the time when completing the exhaustion work, a plate cam 21 to be driven by air cylinder 20 is advanced to rotate the lever 5 by predetermined angle. Consequently the mercury separation hole 19, through hole 22 made in the mercury tank 9 and through-hole 23 made in the fixed shaft 4 are coincided to drop predetermined amount of mercury into reservoir 24 provided at a portion of rear gas injection path 15. Then the rear gas is injected into the tube and thus produced air flow carry the mercury in the reservoir 24 into the tube.
