Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the title product having high frequency response of ink particles by applying exciting voltage lower in value than that of the recording signal upon the electric-to-mechanical converter element during the period while the recording signal for jetting out ink particles is not applied upon the electric-to- mechanical converter element. CONSTITUTION:Signal outputted by the clock signal generator 21 is converted into pulse width Tw of a predetermined value at the time-duration control circuit 23, set at a preset level, and is inputted into the amplifier 27 together with the output produced at the letter signal generator 22. In the output of the amplifier 27, signal voltage having amplitude lower than that of the recording signal, exists during the non-recording period, and those signals (exciting voltage) are applied upon the electrostrictive element 5. Under this constitution, sudden change in the signal supplied to the nozzle 1 is checked, abnormal vibration at the nozzles are prevented, its frequency characteristic being improved to a great degree, and the limiting frequency is enhanced to twice of the conventional system. Accordingly, effective recording speed can be accelerated to more than twice of the conventional value.
