Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain this heat transfer pipe that can gain the best heat exchange efficiency all the time to the change of flow rate in the pipe, its manufacture is easy and is cheap, by loosely fitting a coil spring, which one end is fixed to a pipe guiding a heat transfer fluid, to the pipe guiding the fluid. CONSTITUTION:This heat transfer pipe is formed by a cylindrical pipe 1, a cylindrical coil spring 2 loosely fitted to the inside and a fixing piece 3, which is mounted to an inwall of the cylindrical pipe 1 and fixes one end of said coil spring 2. Thus, heat exchange efficiency is improved because fluids flowing in the cylindrical pipe 1 are turned into turbulent streams along a spiral shape of the cylindrical coil spring 2. The cylindrical coil spring 2 expands and contracts in response to the magnitude of the kinetic energy of the fluids, and the pitch settles down to one that the best heat exchange efficinecy is obtained to flow rate. Said coil spring may be disposed at the outside of the pipe, and may be formed in a cylindrical or a conical shape.
