Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture the iron core material whose magnetic flux density in the rolling direction is excellent similarly to that of the one-way type electromagnetic steel sheet by, cold rolling the raw material for the one-way type electromagnetinto the final thickness, after the hot rolling, and then, by applying the decarburization accelerator, after that, by executing the continuous annealing under the specified temperature condition. CONSTITUTION:The steel or cost billet, containing Si<4.0%, and preferably containing 0.02-0.04% C and the effective inhibitor constituents like as MnS, AlN, etc., and the balance consisting of iron and inevitable impurities, is hot rolled. Next, the cold rolling, of one pass or including the intermediate annealing, is executed to obtain the final thickness; and then, the decarburization accelerator like as K2CO3 aqueous solution, etc., is applied; after that, the continuous annealing is executed for longer than 2 minutes at the temperature range, 950-1050 deg.C, within the decarburizing atmosphere of wet H2 gas. According to this method, the excellent one-way type electromagnetic steel sheet for use of the iron core of the generator, large size motor, transformer, etc., is manufactured at low cost.
