Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture the title sheet with superior drawability and bulgeability by hot rolling a slab contg. a specified ratio of C, Mn, acid sol. Al, N and B at a specified finish temp. and a specified coiling temp. followed by cold rolling and continuous annealing. CONSTITUTION:A low carbon steel slab is prepared contg. C<=0.01, esp. 0.004- 0.007%, Mn<=0.40%, acid sol. Al 0.005-0.06%, N 0.0010-0.0060%, B in a B to N ratio of 0.25-2.5, esp. 0.9-1.5 and inevitable impurities such as P and S. This slab is hot rolled, finish rolled at a temp. of the Ar3 point or above to secure drawability, and coiled at 680 deg.C or below. The hot rolled coil is then pickled, cold rolled usually at a reduction ratio of 60-90%, continuously annealed, and optionally temper-rolled to manufacture a product.
