Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture a non-oriented silicon steel sheet having high magnetic flux density, by subjecting a steel stock with a specific composition to hot rolling, winding, and annealing under respectively specified conditions and then applying descaling, cold rolling, and annealing to the above. CONSTITUTION:A steel stock which has a composition consisting of, by weight, <=0.010% C, 0.1-1.0% Si, <=0.20% Mn, <=0.006% S, <0.002% SolAl, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities and containing, if necessary, 0.050-0.200% P is hot-rolled while regulating rolling-finishing temp. to a value at and above 700 deg.C and within the ferritic range. Subsequently, the plate is wound up at <=600 deg.C, annealed at 650-950 deg.C, and, before or/and after annealing, subjected to descaling. Further, the plate is cold-rolled once, in principle, at about 70-80% draft and then annealed. By this method, the non-oriented silicon steel sheet having low iron loss and high magnetic flux density and excellent in magnetic properties can be obtained while obviating the necessity of hot rolling at low temp.
