Abstract

PURPOSE: To decelerate high-speed injecting speed prior to completion of filling of molten steel and produce precision castings by closing the small hole of the cylinder through advance of an injection piston and turning an inner tube thereby changing the position of the small hole of the cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: Pressure oil is sent through pipeline 31 to the head side of an injection cylinder 1 to let an injection piston 2 advance at a high speed. This advance closes the small hole 10 of the injection cylinder 1 communicating with the long hole 13 of an inner tube 12, resulting in the reduced discharge oil volume of the injection cylinder 1. As a result, the oil pressure on the rod side of the injection cylinder 1 rises and the injection speed of the injection piston lowers, at which speed, the filling of the molten metal is completed. According to the shapes of molds and castings, the inner tube 12 is rotated by a handle 16 to change the communicating position of the long hole 13 and the small hole 10 of the injection cylinder 1, whereby the deceleration start position of the injection piston 2 is changed and the most suited deceleration start position is set.
